Our History
Lagoon was originally created in 1984 as a direct development from Jeanneau’s racing division (Jeanneau Techniques Avancées) which made its mark on racing monohull and multihull circuits with Pierre Ier, Fleury Michon, etc., whose winning record remains unbeaten to this day.
Now Lagoon is part of the CNB division of Groupe Beneteau and from 2003 became the largest production catamaran manufacturer’s world-wide through its production methods and distribution network. Lagoon has more than 50 passionate catamaran specialist distributors all over the world and continues to grow.
The first generation of catamarans was launched from 1987 to 1996 with the Lagoons 55, 47, 57 and 67: all ocean cruising private yachts. However, the Lagoons 37 and 42 were more suited to the charter market. The production was limited, but it established some strong guidelines by which the brand could be recognized from the outset: the high quality of design and construction with better than average performance.
The Latest range from Lagoon has 7 current models, the:
- L380
- L400
- L420
- L440
- L500
- L620
- and L67
– all built with innovation & efficiency, reliability, ease of handling and comfort at sea & anchor in mind.
