Vicsail launched into the Australian sailing fraternity in 1983, and has been going like the wind ever since Brendan and Joanne Hunt first established Vicsail in Geelong, Victoria, using their own yacht as their first listing. From these modest beginnings, the business has grown over the last 25 years to become the premier yacht broking network in Australasia.

As founder and managing director of Vicsail; Brendan continues working at full strength in the yachting industry, With a hands on approach he continues to foster the growth of our sales team in both monohulls and multihulls.
After nearly a decade in the Royal Australian Navy, including service in the Middle East and expertise gained over that time in the Navy Clearance Diving Team, Colin attained his Master Mariner Class IV certification and went on to skipper a host of vessels, private and commercial. As a broker with Vicsail, Colin applies the full depth of his expertise to buying and selling for his clients. “My main focus is education of new and existing owners about their new boats. As a skipper, I want to impart my knowledge and expertise to help them enjoy their new acquisition. “I can give them a realistic view of the current market, let them know if now is a good time to buy or sell, and then how to go about it. I help them with presentation for sale and can brief the owners crews to ease them in to new ownership. Like all members of the Vicsail team, Colin’s greatest satisfaction comes from matching boats to clients’ lifestyles, and then helping them with any issue, navigational, technical or any of the myriad questions owners and crews can pose. “Our clients are really joining our family.”
In 1997 I enjoyed a two year Expat role as the Chief Accountant for a Trading Company in Vietnam.
She tackled the fast expansion of the company during the 9% GDP growth of Vietnam’s economy through the most challenging times of the Asian currency crisis. At Vicsail, she works with our clients ensuring they are up to date with information on their new boat shipping details and ensure that the finance process runs smoothly.
Lagoon Division Manager
Gillian has been involved with the CNB group for many years in the UK. She has recently been appointed as the Lagoon Division Manager for Vicsail and is very active in expanding the Lagoon family.
Having overseen Vicsail’s activities since its inception in 1983, Jo is the driving force behind Lagoon, Vicsail and Beneteau and oversees all company strategies and finances.
Cheryl has a degree in Commerce from the University of Texas San Antonio and a MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management. She has several years working in marketing roles in diverse industries.
